Our systems make diving really simple. Our mission is to get as many people as we can to fall in love with the water. Why? Because the more people who love our waters, the more people who will help protect it.
Part of our mission at BLU3 is to develop a sensor package that seamlessly collects environmental data while you dive.
As we develop this sensor package, our BLU3 divers can contribute to the Project Baseline database using cameras and dive computers. Right now, the sign up process is a little complicated (we’re working on it) but the data you provide is invaluable – you’ll seriously be making a difference.
The goal is to prevent “Environmental Amnesia” – a term used to describe the unnoticed decline of ocean health over decades. We have to keep track of what is happening in order to stop it from happening.
About Project Baseline
Project Baseline works by organizing and mobilizing a global network of divers and water lovers alike to create a lasting visual legacy of underwater environmental conditions one photo and one video at a time. Their images, descriptions, and data are moved into an online database that is accessible by all. The data creates a baseline for environmental quality.
ProjectBaseline.org is a public website where average divers can document the health of dive spots, worldwide. BLU3 is a line of dive systems that makes diving without tanks extremely easy. The two have teamed up to introduce a new way to effortlessly record and publish data. The BLU3 + Project Baseline mission is to dive with a purpose and collect valuable data to help protect the waters we love for generations to come.
All you’ll have to do is connect your BLU3 to the mobile app and it’ll automatically sync to an online database. The development of the sensor package is underway. Stay tuned so that you can keep up-to-date on our development in this area.
